our Ongoing Projects - Past just paper
When we make art, we do more than create a product which can be purchased. Through donations to volunteer organizations, environmental education, community clean-ups (and more), we engage in a value of bettering our surroundings, not only through art, but with actions.

project Partners
Collaboration fosters creativity, and builds strong and sustainable communities. Our partnerships show that by working together, we can all have a greater chance of success.
Local biodiversity
We believe that supporting local extends to wildlife. Our yearly native wildlife calendar aims to increase the awareness of the flora and fauna with which share our community
Community Clean-Up
This business is only made possible by the things produced by our planet. To express gratitude for what it gives us, we are challenging ourselves to pick up 150lbs in 2025.
Yearly Native Wildlife Calendar Project
A goal for 2024 was to create a calendar solely featuring birds native to our region. Our region, rich in biodiversity, made making our first "Birds of l'Ardoise" calendar a success. We will be making a new calendar every year with a new set of species.
This calendar aims to increase awareness and to educate others on wildlife native to our community. The species photographed are featured in a month when they reside in the area, and are accompanied with some facts, to provide some education about feathered neighbours.

Community Clean-up 2025 Challenge
Reciprocity is important for maintaining healthy environments. Which is why whenever take something from environment, we try between things we want and things that nature doesn't. We practice this philosophy through the act of cleaning up garbage, one of Mother Nature's biggest undesirables.
For 2025, we challenged ourselves to pick up 150lbs of trash from our community. Whenever we're able to do a clean-up, we will be weighing the week's collections the upcoming Tuesday, and updating our tracker.

In Reflection of Achieving our Goal
Meeting our clean-up goal for 2025 has been bittersweet. We were able to complete our goal of 150lbs in under 3 months, while taking a month-long break due to poor weather and health complications. From just two clean-ups, which occurred during the weeks of March 4th and March 18th, we were able to clean-up 75.4lbs, which in itself alone made up half our goal. Unfortunately, the area of impact from those two clean-ups was a mere 1.5km. We estimate that the total ground covered to reach our initial goal was between 4 and 5 kilometers.
As a result of the (unfortunate) ease at which we were able to find, and collect, the 150lbs of garbage to meet our initial goal, we set a new goal to clean-up another 150lbs within the span of 30 days. That new goal was also met, having cleaned up 160.2lbs between March 25th and April 23rd. We averages 1lb of garbage every 6 meters.
We will also continue to do clean-ups as regularly as we can, to see what the total amount we can clean-up from our community, within 2025, will be.
Additionally, we want our clean-ups to have as big of a positive impact on our community as possible. As such, we are also donating all the funds from the (many) refundable beverage containers we retrieve to supporting the visual arts in Richmond County.
