A Story of cards, hyperfixations, and designs
A single dragon card quickly evolved into something greater than a greeting card. The joy of designing and sharing that first dragon was easy fuel for the ADHD which can do everything except things in moderation. Within four months, our craft tables were overflowing with over 20 different papercraft card designs.
Although we didn't know it at the time, that first little dragon lit a fire, and Hyper Card Fixation Designs has been burning brightly ever since.
The Initial design
Our first dragon was creating by digitizing a physical drawing, using PowerPoint. We have since been introduced to much more efficient tools, including digital art programs.
A heartfelt creation
We put careful thoughts into our gifts, and that includes their packaging. The ability to reuse the gift card holder our dragons were to guard was a key factor in choosing this envelope pattern.
The Evolving Dragon
Designing the dragon gave us the foundation of our artistic style. Our creations, ever evolving, continue to be heavily influences by papercraft and puppetry.
